Highlights of the year

From Our Own Correspondent

Available for over a year

This year the programme has brought you all sorts of weird and wonderful stories from around the world, and in this edition we’ll revisit some of our highlights. From ballroom dancing in Shanghai, to celebrating Day of the Dead in Mexico, our correspondents have done it all. Lucy Ash answered the call of nature in Russia, and Peter Day was astonished when he found out he found a British-style power outlet in Inner Mongolia. Emma Jane Kirby did a spot of people-watching in the south of France. There was also plenty of food to eat this year, but the strong-stomach prize goes to Kate McGowan who found out why the cuisine of the Philippines is not very highly rated – and met a chef trying to change that fact. A selection of stories from around the world, presented by Pascale Harter.
