Dispatches from foreign correspondents, presented by Pascale Harter. Greece’s economic woes are well-known, and the effect of government cuts and austerity is being felt by ordinary people all over the country. In this edition we have a personal view from Theopi Skarlatos, whose childhood memories of growing up in the Greek capital feel a long way from the Athens of today. Also in the programme, Anu Anand has been living a relatively comfortable existence in India for two years. But she’s lost count of the number of times she’s had to call an electrician, or a plumber. Beyond India’s upper classes, she speculates that the frustrations of everyday life are hurting small businesses and the poor. (Image: Electric lightbulb. Credit: Science Photo Library)
