Owen Bennett Jones presents stories from Gerry Northam, Mariko Oi and Helen Grady in Japan. Earthquake aftermath The response to the Great East Japan Earthquake was impressive, but the disaster has caused many to question the country's huge nuclear industry, Gerry Northam reports. Mariko Oi, who grew up in Japan, has been the target of online abuse. She says many who talk about the disaster and the radiation hazard have been attacked online. And Helen Grady visits an unfortunate businessman who moved to the Fukushima area just before the quake. He's now the only one left in his hamlet, but despite the potential dangers, he's not about to leave.
