Football in Eritrea and Rwanda

World Football

Available for over a year

James Montague spends time with the Eritrean national team. Earlier this month they travelled to Rwanda for a World Cup qualifier - their first overseas match in two years. The last time the national team left Eritrea, for a tournament in Kenya, the entire team disappeared, later claiming asylum. As well as hearing from the current players and coach - there will also be the chance to hear from one of those players who defected in 2009, now in living Adelaide and trying to re-build his career in the A-League.
