Weaver Poets in Society

Dr Ivan Herbison tells Helen Mark that many of the weaver poets had radical sympathies. They wrote about their fellow peasants, peasant society, the giving and receiving of gifts - part of the culture - and he reads a poem by his forebear David Herbison to drive away a mouse!
