Liam Logan talks to James Fenton about a poem he has co-written with Londoner, Sean Haldane (originally from Belfast). Sean’s original version of the poem was entitled ‘I come frae Ballyboley’ and is about the 1798 Rebellion. After James’s revisions, the Ulster-Scots version is called ‘Antrim, 1798’. James reads both versions for the listeners - the original and the Ulster-Scots, pointing out some of the linguistic reasons for the changes. (Broadcast: 28 Apr 2007)
