She says they are determined to maintain their honour and traditions, despite losing their homes, possessions and livelihoods in the floods. REVIVING FRENCH CAFE SOCIETY The last surviving cafe in a village in rural Brittany has become the centre of the community. It was a refuge for beer-drinking men until expatriate Americans Ellen and Don Anderson took it on five years ago. Now it's popular with all the village, and draws in musicians and tourists from further afield.
