Toyota - the world's biggest car company - is in crisis, accused of putting the public at risk by selling cars that could potentially accelerate out of control. The company's president has apologised in public and has admitted - in the United State’s Congress - that the company's rate of growth in the last few years may have been too fast. Toyota is a company that has been respected for many years, for its core principles and its production methods. But its reputation is now badly damaged. In Assignment we examine how this happened and whether the company has the means to get back on track.
