In the last major broadcast interview of his life Norman Mailer, the author of The Naked and the Dead, the Executioner's Song and Harlot's Ghost talks about the way experiences in the Second World War, shaped him. He discusses a writing style which transposed fact into fiction and reflects on his arguments with some feminists. He continued to be controversial, at the age of 84, publishing a novel focusing on the childhood of Hitler.
