Available for over a year

Rajan Datar looks at whether or not the media’s attitude to President Obama has changed in the course of his first year in office. He hears from the foreign editor of a leading daily newspaper in Kenya – the country where the President's father was born – and contrasts the coverage there with the more negative reporting in the American media. And Rajan talks to the BBC’s Middle East Editor, Jeremy Bowen, to find out whether war reporters are safer if they are "embedded" with military units - working alongside them while they are on active duty – rather than trying to cover the fighting independently.
