Lehman voices

Business Daily

Available for over a year

It is almost a year since Lehman Brothers, one of the pillars of Wall Street, collapsed. On Business Daily, as part of the BBC's Aftershock season this September - we are looking at the impact of the financial meltdown on three people who worked at the bank. These are the thoughts and impressions of witnesses from the inside who've had to make new lives for themselves. We hear about what the firm meant to them and how the death of a bank changed their lives. Of course, with the fall of Lehman Brothers came a cull of jobs at the firm. It wasn't just bankers and brokers who were suddenly looking for new employment. And there were even those who had been forced out of the firm early - as the investment bank tried to shed staff in a bid to save itself.
