John Wilson The Strand talks to John Wilson about his mammoth task of reconstruction and re-orchestrating many of the major lost Hollywood musicals, including Singing in the Rain and The Wizard of Oz. Maori in Venice The Maori sculptor and video artist George Nuku is one of the artists representing New Zealand at this year's Venice Bienale. The Strand hears how he views bringing his art to Europe as a natural response to European exploration of the Pacific Islands 250 years ago. Womad - Ba Cissoko The Guinean band are named after the lead singer and electric Kora player, Ba Cissoko. Ruth Barnes talks to him about electrifying the kora and taking their modern West African music around the world.
