Derry feels 'grief and anger' over Amy Doherty murder

North West Today

Available for 29 days

The funeral of 28-year-old Amy Doherty, who was killed in Derry, is to take place. Derry City and Strabane District Councillors have paid emotional tributes to the mother of two. Father Joe Gormley tells us the "darkness and tragedy" of Amy's death should not overshadow the "light she shone in the lives of others." We also speak to the Governor of Magilligan Prison, which has been described as one of the very best prisons in the United Kingdom. Gary Milling says he is prepared to meet the family of Jim McFadden, after his killer James Meehan spent almost a year on the run.
