In this evening's relaxing Classical Mixtape, we start with an Andante for clarinet and orchestra by the 19th century English composer, Alice Mary Smith. This is followed by an arrangement of Dvorak's Songs my mother taught me for cello and piano and a Passacaglia by Silvius Leopold Weiss. Afterwards comes a string quartet by Felix Mendelssohn and a song by Richard Strauss, Morgen "Tomorrow". Brahms's beautiful Wiegenlied "Lullaby" is next, and we finish with Peteris Vasks’ The Fruit of Silence arranged for accordion, vibraphone and string orchestra by George Morton.
