Jessie J performs alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra from BBC Maida Vale studios for Radio 2’s Piano Room Month. Jessie started her career with hit singles Do It Like A Dude and Price Tag, taken from her debut album Who You Are, released in 2011. Such was her immediate success that she became the first British female artist to have six top-ten singles from a debut album. Her hits since have included the number one Bang Bang, which went multi-platinum worldwide. She released her sixth studio album, Don't Tease Me With a Good Time, in November last year, a record that was written and recorded during a time in which she also received treatment for breast cancer. Jessie said: “I love to sing, and I LOVE to sing with an orchestra. To be able to sing a classic cover I have been wanting to sing for so long and new music is a dream I can’t wait!!!!” Back for its fifth year, Radio 2 Piano Room Month sees globally famous, award-winning artists perform three tracks - a new song, one of their well-known numbers, and an unexpected cover version - all accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra. A BBC Audio production for BBC Radio 2.
