From record shopping at Numero Group’s headquarters in Little Village and speaking with label curator Tim Zawada of Star Creature label, to exploring writer and curator John Corbett’s vinyl collection and listening with him to the first ever recorded Sun Ra single. We hear from South Chicago footwork pioneer Jana Rush about her time at KKC college radio with DJ Rashad, bass and guimbri player Joshua Abrams tells us what makes the Windy City a place of experimentation, and we go to The Bajas’ studio, discussing the importance of losing oneself in the music.
