Glasgow artist Libby Walker discusses competing in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year, including her journey to joining the TV programme, submitting one of the paintings of Pollok Park she created after spending so much time developing her skills as an artist there during the pandemic. She talks about the challenges of painting on a boat in the rain with Stephen Mangan talking to her, and creating a Whatsapp group with the new friends she met on the series. Mike Oldfield's longtime collaborator, award winning musical director Robin Smith, talks about meeting Mike and working with him, how Tubular Bells became launched into the public consciousness by The Exorcist, the last time he saw Mike when he was performing at the 2012 Olympics and suggesting this idea of reimagining the Tubular Bells series to perform live on tour, and about their iconic performance of Tubular Bells at Edinburgh Castle. Gill Roberston talks about co-creating and starring in one-person show Lightning Ridge, the technical imagination that goes into creating a high quality show for families, and how children respond to the show, and we hear from two young reviewers. She talks about her family theatre company Catherine Wheels, and what it brings to audiences, and how to engage, entertain and move young people, and why theatre is so special.
