Cerys hosts your Sunday sonic and cultural adventure. John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, talks about the new musical of his parents lives. Plus Lia Leendertz helps us connect with the natural world. John Carter Cash has co-created the musical and shaped the show based on his own recollections and memories of his parents. The Ballad of Johnny & June is narrated by the character of John and told from his point of view. He wrote his mother’s biography, “Anchored in Love” and “House of Cash: The Legacies of My Father Johnny Cash” on his personal relationship with his father. Lia Leendertz is an award‑winning garden and food writer who trained in horticulture at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Here she talks from her book The Almanac: A Seasonal Guide to 2026.
