Kathryn Tickell invites Landless to pick three tracks that embody the musical soul of the Irish capital. The group - Ruth Clinton, Meabh Meir, Sinead Lynch and Lily Power - sing unaccompanied traditional songs from Irish, Scottish, English and American traditions in close four-part harmony, and its members are closely involved in the traditional singing sessions in Dublin and Belfast. Plus Kathryn selects the best new global roots-based releases: from Congolese rumba courtesy of African Fiesta; Catalan songs by Ester Formosa and Elva Lutza; and Greek-Anatolian laments from rebetiko musician Antonis Diamantidis. Produced by Silvia Malnati A Reduced Listening production for BBC Radio 3. To listen on most smart speakers, just say: 'Ask BBC Sounds to play Music Planet'.
