Joi is the British alternative dub/dance music DJ team of Bangladeshi origin, originally composed of brothers Farook and the late Haroon Shamsher. Farook joins Bobby to chat about the band and growing up in Brick lane. Today is Blue Monday, often described as the most depressing day of the year, but new research suggests poor mental wellbeing is now a daily reality for millions across the UK. Wellness expert Dr Marwa Ali discusses how this acts like a wider wake-up call. Artist Laisul Hoque was awarded the East London Art Prize 2025. He is in to chat about his new exhibition 'The Ground Beneath Me' at the Nunnery Gallery, Bow Art. The exhibition positions the viewer as an observer in the artist’s bedroom. We hear the Oscar- and Grammy Award–winning Indian film composer A.R. Rahman speaking to BBC Asian Network’s Haroon Rashid about everything from his faith to the current landscape of cinema in both India and Hollywood. Have you ever felt confused about the dates of Ramadan and Eid? Here in the UK, there’s no local Islamic calendar — until now. We listen to Imad Ahmed, lead for Moonsighters Academy on how it works. We also hear from our reporter Sukhi Hayer in Parliament about the latest British Sikh Report.
