Made In London guest Ciaran Thapar

Bobby Friction

Available for 22 days

For today’s Made In London guest Bobby Friction is joined in the studio by South West Londoner Ciaran Thapar. As a columnist he has written about British society and music culture, he also works with a youth charity to prevent violence. It is Obesity Awareness Week so we’re looking at weight loss injections. New research suggests some are treating them like lifestyle or cosmetic products rather than prescription medicines. Pharmacist Hira Malik discuss what we’ve learnt so far. Last year, Bollywood's violent, male-driven action thrillers - dominated the domestic box-office and cultural conversations. The year before that, it was more women-led stories. To dive deeper into this, Bobby talks to Bollywood film expert Dr. Rajinder Dudrah. Shabaz Ali is a chemistry teacher in Blackburn during the day and on with his comedy he takes down those who package and present their 'perfect' lives online. He comes into the studio to chat about a new Soho Theatre gig and the charity it supports.
