He joins the Philharmonia Orchestra and Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali for a work that balances the intimacy of chamber music with huge scope and virtuosity. Take a visit to Mexico City’s cabarets and dance halls in Gabriela Ortiz’s Antrópolis – a vivid homage to urban nightlife – while Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition conjures an orchestral kaleidoscope of strange scenes and images, climaxing with the splendour of the Great Gate of Kyiv.
