The Phone InAvailable for 20 days
There's expected to be surge in demand for weight loss jabs this year, but pharmacies are urging patients to avoid buying injections from unregulated suppliers. The National Pharmacy Association is concerned about people turning to beauty salons or social media to get the drugs. Speaking on Radio Wales Breakfast, Labour MP Carolyn Harris spoke of the pressure she felt to lose weight, following online abuse. She has lost around eight stone in weight after turning to weight loss jabs. So should people feel pressured into taking extreme measures to lose weight? We're also talking about parenting our dogs today. Studies in the US have shown that treating our pets like children can result in traits like fear, anxiety, and aggressiveness. From pushing a dog around in a pram, to dressing them up in costumes – are we going too far in parenting our pets? And do you find it difficult to concentrate for extended periods? Are you easily distracted by your phone? One recent survey concluded that nearly half of social media users find videos longer than a minute stressful. Streaming services are also getting involved - with some TV shows specifically designed to be watched by viewers who are distracted by a second device. So is our modern world of technology impacting your ability to concentrate? Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110, or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nations' conversation.
