Gary Davies sits in on New Years Day, with actress Lesley Sharp choosing her Tracks Of My Years - ten songs that tell the story of her life and career to date. Also, two listeners take on the first edition of the mid-morning music quiz Ten To The Top for 2026. Born in Manchester and raised by adopted parents in Merseyside, Lesley wanted to be an actress from an early age. After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she landed her first on-screen role in Alan Clarke's 1986 comedy Rita, Sue and Bob Too. Since then, her roles on British TV have included Clocking Off (2000–2001), Bob & Rose (2001), Afterlife (2005–2006) and Scott & Bailey (2011-16). She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the 1997 film The Full Monty, playing Jean. She'll next be on our screens in the second series of acclaimed thriller Red Eye, playing Head of MI5 Madeline Delaney, starting tonight on ITV. Produced by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 2
