Film critic James King takes us through the winter wonderland of Christmas movies. The journey starts at "A for Animation" - James listing some of the most well-known titles we all know and love – and from there on there will be stops at the favourites, the forgotten, and the turkeys. James is joined by a string of guests along the way: Radio 2’s cheesy Christmas film superfan Scott Mills; "Wallace and Gromit" creator, Nick Park, "The Snowman and the Snowdog" music composer Andy Burrows, "The Muppet Christmas Carol" star Meredith Braun, award-winning set designer for "The Holiday" Jon Hutman, Judy Cornwell AKA Daisy in "Keeping Up Appearances" and Anya Claus in "Santa Claus - The Movie", Joel Montague, star of West End hit musical "Elf", Mandy Macintosh, whose "Love Actually"-inspired wedding in Cleveland, Ohio, became an internet sensation back in 2011, and a handful of film-lovers who explain which Christmas movie is their all-time favourite. This is a trip down many snow-filled memory lanes for all the family, for all film lovers and for the big kid at Christmas in all of us, packed with some of the most recognisable soundtracks ever composed. A Mostest Production for BBC Radio 2.
