Charlie Kirk, the US conservative activist and major ally of President Donald Trump, has been shot dead while speaking at a university campus event in Utah. Police are still looking for the attacker. On social media, Trump wrote, "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie". Pressure continues to mount on the government over the future of Lord Mandelson as UK ambassador to the US, as more revelations emerge about his past association with Jeffrey Epstein.
