One of Julia Blazer's most popular ventures is providing sheepdog experiences. Together with local shepherd and sheepdog breeder and trainer Ross Games, they offer small groups the chance to learn how to herd sheep with one of his prize-winning collies. Steffan Messenger meets Julia and Ross in a field in Cwmdu near Crickhowell and tries his hand at sheep wrangling with dogs Fly and Dell. Things don't quite go to plan however when a rogue black sheep (there's always one) decides to rebel. As more people seek 'experiences' in the countryside such as walking with pigs and picnicking with donkeys, local farmers such as Ross can add another stream to their income by providing days out with animals.
