The Everyday Hustle

Available for over a year

The Asian Network has been gearing up for The Great Escape in Brighton - often seen as kicking off the festival season every May - and it’s got Harpreet intrigued! She used to head to Melas with her family when she was younger, but that’s pretty much it! There’s now lots of festivals covering a WHOLE range of music… but the thought of standing in a muddy field, dodgy food, and sleeping in a tent just sounds the absolute OPPOSITE of what Harpreet would want. BUT with the rise in the range of festivals, with what seems like one every weekend for every vibe - from bhangra to jazz, Qawwali to club beats - she's been starting to think…. there MUST be one for her! She talks to a self-proclaimed 'Festival Fanatic', Aneesa Ahmed, who writes for the likes of The Guardian, NME and MixMag. Aneesa joins Harpreet to give her festival hacks, from how to travel to a festival, the different types of festivals there are to how you can best tackle those DREADED porta-loos. Plus, Aneesa offers tips on how she turned her passion for music into her job - from hobby to hustle - for any budding music journalists out there. We want to hear your hustles too! Get in touch with your hacks, tips or tricks for winning at life - email [email protected]. And even better, Harpreet would love you to send a voice note if you can, including your name and where you’re based.
