An original short story commissioned by BBC Radio 4 from the Northern Irish writer Clare Watson. Read by Roísín Gallagher. Clare Watson is the author of short stories published in the Seamus Heaney Centre Blackbird Anthology, and broadcast on BBC Radio Ulster’s Storytellers series. She studied at Queen’s University Belfast and graduated with a Masters degree in Special Educational Needs as well as a Masters in Creative Writing. She has been teaching for over 25 years and has been a Special Needs Co-ordinator in three different schools for over 8 years. She is currently working on a compilation of character driven stories focusing on the lives of women.
