Bill Browder

Stark Talk

Available for over a year

Edi’s guest Bill Browder is world renowned as a dogged campaigner for international retribution for human rights abuse and corruption. Quite a contrast to his first career as an equally dogged financier. He made billions in Russia shortly after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and his hedge fund company was ranked the best performing fund in the world. But as he successfully exposed corruption and theft, he became one of Vladimir Putin’s biggest enemies and was expelled from the country as a supposed ‘security risk’. His thirteen year fight for international justice began on 16th November 2009, when Sergei Magnitsky (Magneetsky), a brilliant tax adviser heroically committed to exposing a shocking tax scam against Browder’s company, was beaten to death in an isolation prison cell in Moscow. He was 37 years old. Join Edi Stark with Bill Browder for a real life thriller of a story.
