The Everyday Hustle

Available for over a year

As part of Sonya's celebration of the Commonwealth Games, she's finding out how athletes can make a living from pursuing their passion. Ishveen Jolly is the CEO and founder of Open Sponsorship, which is a tech platform that helps athletes connect with brands to create sponsorship opportunities. Ishveen's idea for Open Sponsorship followed after years of working as an agent and found the deal making process between brands and athletes a challenge. She then decided to make an 'Airbnb for the sponsorship industry', with a mission to line the pockets of every athlete. Ishveen shares how her love for sport as a child led her to create Open Sponsorship, which is now the world's largest marketing platform to over 12,000 professional athletes. This week's 60-Second Career comes from Dean Ahmad, the founder of Fine Edge Sports and Entertainment, which is a UK-based agency specialising in talent management, consultancy and marketing. Dean will be the guest on next week's episode, sharing his story in full and rounding off Sonya's three-part celebration of the Commonwealth Games.
