Clarice Cliff was the working-class girl who has become one of the world’s most known ceramicists. Her bright and bold designs summed up the cultural revolution of the 1920’s and 30’s, with her story now being turned in to a new film called The Colour Room. We will be joined by Emma Bailey a Stoke ‘paintress’ dubbed the new Clarice Cliff, and Will Farmer from the Antiques Roadshow and a expert on 20th century ceramics. Chances are you’ve already seen a Christmas advert or two on the TV in the recent weeks – retailers have pushed the boat out this year getting celebrities to encourage us to part with our money. And with the review of the Gambling Act 2005 still on going we will be hearing from a reformed gambler who was sent emails offering free spins, and speaking to social scientist Dr Heather Wardle to find out what concerns she has and what may be missing from the review.
