This week, Sonya chats to Arfah Farooq. She’s the co-founder of Muslamicmakers, which is a community for Muslims working in the tech community that supports and educates them in their career. Being Muslim herself, Arfah talks about finding opportunities that are in line with Muslim beliefs and values, which can sometimes be a challenge.She also talks about how you can use your individuality as a superpower in the workplace and how to play to your strengths to achieve the most out of what you do. This week’s 60 Second Career comes from 25 year-old Anika, she’s the founder of NEEKSVISUAL, which is a branding and design service that supports small businesses in making impactful and engaging content specialising in branding, design, photography and social media. She set her business up because she felt she needed an outlet to be creative, on the side of her 9-5 job. Since then, she’s developed her brand and client base and is loving the mix of working her corporate job and her side hustle.
