Driving test delays; Covid customer service; RHS Hampton Court
You and YoursAvailable for over a year
Covid is being used an excuse for poor service according to a quarter of people surveyed by the Institute of Customer Services. The number of customers experiencing service issues with organisations has risen to its highest level since 2009. First Direct, John Lewis and Amazon top the table for customer satisfaction. We hear tales of woe from frustrated customers, from the Institute about their research, and from the Chief executive of First Direct on what it takes to get it right. RHS Hampton Court Garden festival kicks off in West London today, and a first for the gardening charity is a full display of an allotment complete with Kale, Kohl Rabi and Carrot - Our reporter Melanie Abbott talks to young people growing veg in a shipping container, and learns the difference between Orange Chard and and Tree Spinach, so sit back and listen to Mel's journey from Mulch to Munch. Driving tests are tangled up in a backlog so large, learners are having to wait months to get a slot with an examiner. Sometimes it means their theory certificates which are only valid for two years expire, and the learner has to take it and pay for it, all over again.
