Call You and Yours - Are you feeling ready for the final lifting of Covid-19 restrictions?

You and Yours

Available for over a year

The prime minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that he intends to scrap the laws on mask wearing and social distancing in the final stage of England's Covid-19 lockdown roadmap on 19th July. The date will be confirmed on 12th July after a review of the latest data. Other changes announced on Monday include the planned reopening of nightclubs for the first time since the pandemic began, an end to all legal limits on the number of people who can attend events and the scrapping of guidance to work from home. Infections are expected to rise when the rules are eased but ministers believe deaths will be limited because of the success of the vaccination programme. But Labour politicians, as well as some senior doctors and trade unions, have expressed concern that the lifting of the restrictions may be premature. How do you feel about the government's decision, based on your own experience? Will you be glad to embrace the new freedoms, or do you have reason to feel cautious or worried about the rules being lifted over mask wearing and social distancing? Scotland aims to lift all major legal lockdown restrictions by 9th August. The next review of measures in Wales is due on 15th July. Some rules in Northern Ireland have just changed, with another review due on 8th July. Are you feeling ready for the final lifting of Covid-19 restrictions?
