The Hoarder

Stories in Sound

Available for over a year

David is a hoarder and his house in south Belfast has reached gridlock. Rooms are filled with belongings. Doors won't open against furniture piled high. He hasn't dusted for years, hasn't had any form of central heating for longer and won't let anyone come in for a visit - not even members of his own family. Now David has discovered his house has a potentially devastating case of dry rot. But with all the accumulated stuff, dealing with it is far from a straight-forward process. Conor Garrett goes to see if David can clear enough clutter to deal with the dry rot and invite his daughter into the house for the first time in years. Producer: Conor Garrett
