When have you felt strongly enough to protest?

You and Yours

Available for over a year

When have you felt strongly enough to protest? There are loads of campaigns and issues up and down the UK right now - with Extinction Rebellion staging events over the next two weeks. But deciding to take a stand isn't a new thing....far from it. This year for example is the 100th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre - when cavalry charged into a crowd of up to 80,000 who had gathered to demand the reform of parliamentary representation....... CND staged sit-ins for YEARS at Greenham Common to campaign against nuclear disarmament...... Miners protested for months about the plans to close the coal pits in the 80's. And now we have teenagers like Greta Thunberg standing in front of world leaders telling them how they are letting down her generation when it comes to climate change. But she decided to take a stand because she thought it was right to do it.... So what's motivated YOU to get up and actively take part in a protest?
