Visually impaired MP Marsha de Cordova has been struggling to get funding for the extra support she says she needs to do her job. The Shadow Disability Minister’s fight with Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, the body responsible for supporting disabled MPs, is ongoing. Marsha explains what has gone wrong. Talking newspapers, which provide print disabled people with an audio selection of articles from local publications, can now sign up to an application which makes them available on smart speakers.
