The author of a new report on the problems facing high street retailers says reducing business rates and increasing taxes on online retailers are unlikely to turn things around. The new scanners slowly being introduced at our major airports that could see the end of limits on the liquids we carry in our hand luggage. Beer sales are falling as younger drinkers in particular seek out alcohol free alternatives.
