Another chance to join Iggy as he takes you on a journey through German Lieder song, the Weimar Republic, Schlager, Krautrock, contemporary classical and the beat of Berghain. Following the demise of Iggy & the Stooges along with some personal issues in the mid-70s, Iggy relocated from Los Angeles to what was then West Berlin for a couple of years. It was during his time there that he worked on music that led to his seminal solo albums The Idiot and Lust For Life. This repeat has been scheduled to tie in with our David Bowie Forever season, to compliment Mary Anne's show which follows, delving into the world of David Bowie's seminal "Low" album. A record mixed at Berlin's Hansa studios in 1976 just prior to work commencing on Iggy's own "Lust For Life" album in the same studio. First broadcast in 2019. Produced by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 6 Music
