Disclosure in Rape Cases, Walking through Grief, Domestic Slavery

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

Last week the CPS said that 47 rape cases had been dropped after it emerged that the police or prosecution had not shared evidence with the defence. We discuss disclosure in rape cases. Grief can be a solitary business but around the country bereaved people are joining 'Walk and Talk' groups for support and companionship. Louise Hulland joined a group from Pendleside Hospice in Burnley. Marish has been stripped of her belongings, her family and her identity. She's a victim of modern day domestic slavery, and her story has been captured on film. Jane talks to the filmmaker and to a campaigner from Anti Slavery International. The Royal Voluntary Service which began life as the Women's Voluntary Service celebrates its 80th birthday this year. We speak to one of its volunteers and to the charity's chief executive.
