Motherland, Lynne Segal, New Art Prize for Women

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

Motherland is a new sitcom co-written by Sharon Horgan and starring Diane Morgan and Anna Maxwell Martin. The three three of them join Jane to talk about life in Motherland. Lynne Segal, Professor of Psychology and Gender studies at Birkbeck talks about her new book, Radical Happiness - a search for transformative collective joy. Last week we ran a series of interviews about sex within long-term relationships. We got a huge response from listeners . One of them, "Lesley" talks to Jane about why no sex feels like "an entirely natural state of affairs". This Friday a new art exhibition will open in Edinburgh by artist Jacqueline Donachie. She is the first artist to have been awarded a new prize, The Freelands Award, initiated by Elisabeth Murdoch, set up to recognise the talents of women who are in the middle of their careers but haven't had the credit they deserve.
