Poet Daljit Nagra revisits the BBC's poetry archive and to mark the death of the poet earlier in the year, he selects Paul Durcan's reading of his poem 'Christmas Day'. And Daljit reads a poem from his Poetry Extra Book of the Month - an anthology called: Nature Matters. Paul concludes his reading from the book-length poem that sets out a funny, sweetly sad and often irreverent vision of Christmas. After Christmas lunch, Paul returns to his empty home, and his thoughts range across his life. Written and read by Paul Durcan Produced by David Hunter First broadcast on Radio 3 in December 1997.
