Tumble dryer fires, Antique furniture, How much vocabulary does your dog understand?
You and YoursAvailable for over a year
The London Fire Brigade says people should stop using faulty tumble dryers until they've been repaired and that the company responsible for them - Whirlpool - should tell them that. There have been renewed calls from Pilots Unions for the Government to change the law to make it more difficult for people to get hold of dangerous laser pens. Too many people are being forced to dial expensive phone numbers to call the DWP and the HMRC. A report by an independent Government advisory committee shows that under 25's calling about their Job Seekers Allowance could pay almost 8% of their weekly benefit just making a 10 minute call. A study in the journal Science has found that dogs understand what some words mean. And, there's been a really dramatic slump in the value of old furniture - the mass-produced tables, chairs and wardrobes that the Victorians left behind. It started around the turn of the last century and the latest antique furniture price index suggests prices still have a way to fall. As Andrew Fletcher reports, it's had a huge impact on the antiques business across the UK. Producer: Maire Devine Editor: Chas Watkin.
