The latest annual figures from The Tavistock Clinic, the country's only gender identity clinic for under-18s, reveal surprising statistics. Almost a quarter of children referred to specialist mental health services get turned away and some wait up to two and a half years to be seen, according to a report from the think tank Centre Forum.
