As small businesses in flood-affected regions calculate the cost of the damage, many say finding flood insurance is becoming nigh on impossible. Traders are urging insurers to extend a scheme that has been set up for homeowners to business owners. "Flood Re" is due to launch in April, it is a not-for-profit flood reinsurance scheme that will allow homeowners to get affordable insurance.
