A dog's Christmas, Airport shops, Japan care

You and Yours

Available for over a year

For some families, Christmas is as much about the dog as the children, but the festive season can be a perilous time for dogs, with chocolates, alcohol and an excess of treats lying around. The founder of Lily's Kitchen tells us what to give our dogs if they are on the "nice list". Samantha Fenwick reports from Japan on what is been done to accommodate its ageing population. Today she looks at how shops are catering for very old people by changing lay-outs and introducing new product lines. Plus why would an airport shop invent a destination for a customer? Earlier this year You & Yours revealed that airport shops ask to see your boarding pass in order to claim back VAT on purchases being taken outside of the EU. It led to what the papers called a "mini-revolution" - hundreds of people refused to hand over their documents. This programme has now heard from a listener who, on his way to Sweden, never showed a shop his boarding pass, but the assistant recorded him as travelling to a non-EU destination. Presented by Winifred Robinson Produced by Natalie Donovan.
