In a survey, nine out of ten wheelchair users said they had been refused space when they tried to get on a bus, and over half said they had experienced rudeness or intimidation from drivers. We speak to the charity, Leonard Cheshire Disability, who carried out the survey and First Bus about what needs to be done to make bus travel easier for disabled people. Lease to buy, or straightforward leasing deals have made it easier than ever to drive a new car, and in September alone we spent more than two billion pounds on new cars through such deals.
