He discusses his latest crime novel And Sometimes I Wonder About You, which explores crime, moral ambivalence and race relations after Ferguson in America. Dark Arteries is a new dance work which reflects upon Britain's coal industry 30 years after the miners' strike and celebrates the power of the arts to sustain communities during times of social and political upheaval.
