Self-Checkout, Borrowing from Relatives, Home Adaptations

You and Yours

Available for over a year

The backlash against the self-service till is starting. The supermarket, Morrisons, says it is to bring back staffed express tills, because its research has found some of its customers prefer not to use them. Their research found two-thirds of shoppers worry they will hold up queues in store, as they wait for staff to override machines. Borrowing from friends and family is on the rise. We now owe around a quarter of a billion pounds to loved ones. We hear the perks and pitfalls of borrowing from those you know. And the families who have moved into newly-built homes - but have been waiting more than seven months for a phone and internet connection. Presented by Winifred Robinson Produced by Natalie Donovan.
